I n\u00e4sta vecka, med start p\u00e5 torsdag, avg\u00f6rs \u00e5rets v\u00e4rldsm\u00e4sterskap i BJJ. Och som vanligt genomf\u00f6rs turneringen i Kalifornien i USA, d\u00e4r samtliga VM sedan 2007 har avgjorts.<\/p>\n

Och i \u00e5r \u00e4r VM dessutom tillbaka i The Walter Pyramid i Long Beach, utanf\u00f6r Los Angeles, d\u00e4r just turneringen 2007 inledde den nya eran inom internationell BJJ.<\/p>\n

Det svenska landslagets tv\u00e5 svartb\u00e4ltare Max Lindblad<\/strong> och Alexander Baffoun<\/strong> kommer som vi tidigare har ber\u00e4ttat inte att delta<\/a> i VM d\u00e5 de inte har haft m\u00f6jlighet att ta tillr\u00e4ckligt med rankingpo\u00e4ng efter coronapandemin. H\u00e4rom veckan stod det ocks\u00e5 klart att det heller inte blir n\u00e5gon VM-start f\u00f6r lilab\u00e4ltaren Rasmus Almstr\u00f6m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

D\u00e4rmed \u00e4r det tre ut\u00f6vare p\u00e5 plats i USA fr\u00e5n det svenska BJJ-landslaget, samtliga med bruna b\u00e4lten: Karl Pegers<\/strong>, Astrid Sch\u00f6lin<\/strong> och Scarlett Anstiss Liljefors<\/strong>. Alla tre har vunnit medaljer p\u00e5 VM och EM under det senaste \u00e5ret.<\/p>\n

– Det \u00e4r s\u00e5 klart synd att det bara \u00e4r tre i landslaget som \u00e5ker. Men de som nu \u00e5ker har alldeles uppenbart medaljchanser i VM. F\u00f6r varje \u00e5r som g\u00e5r kommer vi allt n\u00e4rmare v\u00e4rldseliten och Sverige \u00e4r verkligen en nation att r\u00e4kna med internationellt, s\u00e4ger Svenska BJJ-f\u00f6rbundets elitansvarige Daniel Haglind.<\/p>\n

Trots den decimerade landslagstruppen i VM gl\u00e4ds han \u00f6ver att de tv\u00e5 kvinnliga ut\u00f6varna i landslaget kommer iv\u00e4g.<\/p>\n

– Tittar vi p\u00e5 f\u00f6rdelningen mellan kvinnor och m\u00e4n i Sverige som \u00e4r registrerade inom sporten s\u00e5 \u00e4r det fler m\u00e4n. Men tittar vi p\u00e5 toppen, d\u00e4r vi ju har superduktiga ut\u00f6vare p\u00e5 b\u00e5da sidor, s\u00e5 skulle jag nog s\u00e4ga att vi just nu har lite vassare kvinnor \u00e4n m\u00e4n.<\/p>\n

\u00c5rets VM avg\u00f6rs 2\u20135 juni inom b\u00e4lteskategorierna bl\u00e5tt, lila, brunt och svart. Undertecknad kommer att vara p\u00e5 plats f\u00f6r att rapportera om turneringen h\u00e4r p\u00e5 budokampsport.se.<\/p>\n

F\u00f6rutom de tre landslagsut\u00f6varna kommer som vanligt en hel del svenska ut\u00f6vare att st\u00e4lla upp i VM via sina klubbar. H\u00f6r g\u00e4rna av er till lilja@budo.se<\/a> och tipsa om ert eller andras deltagande i \u00e5rets VM.\u00a0<\/p>\n
