F\u00f6reningen Southside Muay Thai IF startades 2012 av Rodrigo Oyanedel. I dagsl\u00e4get har f\u00f6reningen 341 medlemmar, n\u00e4stan 20 procent \u00e4r kvinnor och ungef\u00e4r 30 procent barn och ungdomar, resten \u00e4r m\u00e4n. Tr\u00e4ningslokalen ligger i Handen, Haninge, p\u00e5 Hantverkarv\u00e4gen 23D.<\/p>\n
M\u00e5lgrupp och vision<\/h3>\n
F\u00f6reningen \u00e4r aktiva inom Idrottsklivet genom att \u00e5ka runt och h\u00e5lla pass p\u00e5 olika skolor inom kommunen och genom att h\u00e5lla gratis pass f\u00f6r ungdomar i den egna tr\u00e4ningslokalen varje dag. P\u00e5 s\u00e5 s\u00e4tt kan alla ungdomar, oavsett ekonomisk f\u00f6ruts\u00e4ttning, tr\u00e4na thaiboxning hos f\u00f6reningen. Visionen \u00e4r att alla barn och ungdomar ska ha en trygg plats att vistas p\u00e5 d\u00e4r de f\u00e5r m\u00f6jligheten att l\u00e4ra sig en kampsport fr\u00e5n grunden. Tr\u00e4ningen \u00f6kar b\u00e5de det fysiska och det psykiska v\u00e4lm\u00e5endet hos unga och kan bidra till att hitta en gemenskap man kanske inte hade funnit annars.<\/p>\n
F\u00f6reningen vill att alla barn och ungdomar ska m\u00e5 bra och k\u00e4nna sig trygga, b\u00e5de i sin omgivning och i sig sj\u00e4lva. H\u00e4r tror man starkt p\u00e5 att thaiboxning, som \u00e4r en sport d\u00e4r respekt och disciplin \u00e4r viktiga komponenter, kan \u00f6ka ungas sj\u00e4lvf\u00f6rtroende och sj\u00e4lvk\u00e4nsla markant. I Haninge och omr\u00e5dena runt omkring rapporteras om det \u00f6kande v\u00e5ldet bland ungdomar. F\u00f6reningen vill vara med och bryta den tragiska spiralen och g\u00f6ra skillnad f\u00f6r barnen i kommun med hj\u00e4lp av sporten.<\/p>\n
F\u00f6reningen har tr\u00e4nat barn och unga i \u00f6ver tolv \u00e5r och sett dem v\u00e4xa b\u00e5de i sporten och som individer. Inom f\u00f6reningen har man tillsammans vunnit m\u00e5nga junior-SM-guld och f\u00e5tt se hur barnen, b\u00e5de de som t\u00e4vlat och de som tr\u00e4nat, utvecklats till starka och sj\u00e4lvs\u00e4kra unga och vuxna. Och det \u00e4r ett arbete man planerar att forts\u00e4tta med en l\u00e5ng tid fram\u00f6ver.<\/p>\n
