Det var ett svenskt lag som p\u00e5 pappret s\u00e5g starkt ut som \u00e5kte till den franska huvudstaden, med medaljer i sikte.<\/p>\n<p>2010 var kanske svensk kyudos starkaste t\u00e4vlings\u00e5r hittills, d\u00e5 laget tog guld i EM och individuellt blev det ett silver. 2010 arrangerades det f\u00f6rsta v\u00e4rldsm\u00e4sterskapet n\u00e5gonsin, i Tokyo, men v\u00e4l d\u00e4r st\u00f6rdes svenska laget av ett visst askvulkanmoln fr\u00e5n Island, vilket medf\u00f6rde att vissa inte kom fram till VM.<\/p>\n<p>Till VM i Paris skickades fem idrottare till de individuella t\u00e4vlingarna: Arne H\u00f6gberg, Uwe Klosa, Per Ybo, Rolf Svensson och Jan Graaf. Ingen av dessa hade emellertid n\u00e5gon st\u00f6rre framg\u00e5ng under VM, och alla strandade redan i gruppomg\u00e5ngarna.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Japan pressades h\u00e5rt<\/strong><br \/>\nB\u00e4ttre gick det d\u00e5 f\u00f6r svenskarna i lagt\u00e4vlingen d\u00e4r Tommy Rades\u00e4ter, Knut H\u00f6gvall och Lazlo Hennyey sk\u00f6t sig vidare till kvartsfinal d\u00e4r Japan v\u00e4ntade. I en h\u00f6gdramatisk match pressade svenskarna Japan till skiljeomg\u00e5ng, efter 7-7 i full omg\u00e5ng. Det kr\u00e4vdes tre skiljeomg\u00e5ngar f\u00f6r att Japan skulle vandra vidare i t\u00e4vlingen den g\u00e5ngen.<\/p>\n<p>Sverige har s\u00e5ledes inte \u00e4nnu vunnit n\u00e5gon VM-medalj i kyudo.
